College Daze

I'm currently blogging from school at this given moment.

If you guys didn't know I attend Santa Monica College, I guess you can say it is 

a very well known college given that it's located in Santa Monica if that makes sense. I love my school I love the environment, the trees, fountains, campus, the food, the people, and did I mention the food? Never in my 12 years of education did I ever come across a school with food as great as the one

served here. The only thing I have to complain about is the fact that I have a 6 hour gap on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and I do have the option of going home but I know I would get super lazy in going back to be

brutally honest. Well, since today is a Tuesday I have math at 3:30 till 5:30 then I get to go home. I recently got myself a really nice Nikon camera for my 

Photojournalism class and given that I am on my schools

newspaper staff I should have one, I brought it with me today so hopefully throughout the day I'll shoot some pictures of my campus to give you

guys a bit of an LA feel. The diversity of people here is amazing you don't see just one race. Also the fashion! I love how people here are so into it without

being too much, yes since this is Los Angeles you do see a lot of

"hipsters" but I promise you that they are very nice people ;)

Love Will Tear Us Apart, Again

Any Joy Division fans? Well if you are let me tell you that you are awesome. I am a HUGE Joy Division fan. I love music period especially alternative rock, my music taste ranges from Pink Floyd to Coldplay to Frank Sinatra to Led Zeppelin to Fiona Apple.

But back to Joy Division I've always been so appreciative

of front man Ian Curtis's voice it's so deep

and you can feel his emotions when he sings and his lyrics.

It's so sad he had to go so soon at the high peek of his career but 

alas his music still lives of forever, good news for me

on Oct. 7th 2012 I will see New Order (who are the remaining JD band members with some new people in it) at the Greek Theatre! SOOOOO exciting! They tend to always sing "Love will tear us apart" which is a song Curtis wrote at the end. Good things are coming out

in the month of October. 

Bittersweet type of thing.

Hello! god I swear I never blog and I would like to even though

I don't really do, it's just that my old laptop SUCKED. It was so slow and it bugged me so I never used it so I would blog from my phone but that didn't work out to well either SO now that I just started school again my dad got me a Macbook pro since I'm doing a lot of writing so it's easier and hopefully I can stick to it! Anyways now that I've given my reason as to why i rarely blog I just wanted to tell you guys about what's been going on.

I started fall semester at Santa Monica College in Cali, I'm majoring in Journalism and so far, I'm liking it. The traffic is terrible and I have to wake up at 5am everyday which totally

sucks but eh thats growing up right? or no? well who knows but thats my schedule

and I'm currently in my schools newspaper staff! which I am soooo excited about eeek!

Our first issue just came out so hopefully I can get some pictures of it soon. I haven't really taken photos of things recently but I'll post some of summer time because come on, this blog is in serious need of some pictures haha. Oh!  and how could I forget to mention I saw Coldplay in May at the Hollywood Bowl one of my favorite bands ever, and it was amazing! Truly a night to remember.

Is anyone else in love with the new Black Keys album? No? Because I am, Lonely boy has to be my favorite song from it, I can relate to that part of the song ALOT. Ah. Well here are a few pictures from the past months :)

Wow I have not updated in a while :/ I'm always using my phone and there's never enough time for me to get on my desktop haha but I need to start making time for it! And trust me blogging is NOT fun while on the iPhone, anyone know if there is an app for this? Well anywho I would like to say many things have changed in the past months but it honestly hasn't except I have realized who my true friends are made some new ones and turned 17. Yep not much going on but that's fine there's always time to change that up. Well today is Christmas and my dad is out of the country, it is going to be different in my house without him here but it's just a week hope it goes by fast!

Tonight if i get a chance I'll go on my desktop and post some pictures that consist of these past months bye for now :)

Ahh best month of the year I swear :) I guess I just say this because it's going to be my birthday in 1 week! AHH, so excited finally turning 17. And hopefully this California weather changes soon, I'm ready for the cold! ;)
